| The
art of embroidery was first developed in Eastern cultures; ancient
civilizations of China and Japan were one of the first to develop
this technique into a sophisticated art form. Egyptians, Babylonians,
Jews, Greeks and Arabs then delivered this precious gift to the
rest of the world. The ethmological background of the word is
derived from Arabic “rakam” which means “design”, “sign”. |
